Project Manager – Technical

Red Hat is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our consulting team in Mumbai, Maharashtra. This full-time role offers the opportunity to lead complex, enterprise-scale projects from conception through successful delivery, working with cross-functional technical teams in a collaborative environment.

Role Overview

As a Technical Project Manager at Red Hat, you will take ownership of end-to-end project delivery for sophisticated technical initiatives. With 8–10 years of relevant project management experience, you'll bring both strategic oversight and hands-on coordination skills to drive projects to completion on schedule and within budget. This role combines technical acumen with strong leadership to bridge the gap between technical teams and business objectives.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Plan, initiate, and oversee complex technical projects from start to finish, ensuring alignment with business goals
• Co-ordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams—including engineers, architects, and stakeholders—to maintain project momentum
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
• Identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans to keep initiatives on track
• Report progress to leadership and stakeholders, maintaining transparency throughout all project phases
• Foster collaboration across teams to solve technical challenges and optimise project outcomes

Requirements

• 8–10 years of hands-on project management experience, ideally in technical or consulting environments
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-phase projects with competing priorities
• Strong understanding of technical concepts and software development methodologies
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
• Ability to work effectively with diverse, distributed teams across geographies
• Experience tracking metrics, managing budgets, and ensuring resource efficiency
