Production Utility Operator

Arauco is hiring a Production Utility Operator for its Moncure, Chatham County facility. This is a full-time position offering opportunities to build a career in manufacturing with a company committed to people, sustainability, and continuous improvement.

About the Role

As a Production Utility Operator at Arauco's Moncure location, you'll play a crucial part in maintaining smooth, efficient daily operations across our facility. Working a 12-hour rotating shift schedule—including days, nights, and weekends—you'll ensure equipment and systems run safely and effectively, supporting our production team's success every day.

Your Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate production equipment, responding to alarms and adjusting systems to maintain output quality and consistency
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery and utilities to prevent downtime
• Maintain detailed production logs and documentation to track performance and identify improvements
• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, to move and stage products safely
• Conduct safety inspections and support adherence to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with operators, technicians, and supervisors to resolve issues and optimize workflow
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and comply with facility housekeeping standards

Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing, warehouse, production, assembly, or similar industrial environment
• Forklift certification or demonstrated ability to obtain certification
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort troubleshooting equipment issues
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends
• Team player with a safety-first mindset
