Product Owner (Specialty Insurance) – Product & Experience

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential consulting organization seeking a Product Owner with deep expertise in specialty insurance and the London Market. This is a remote opportunity for someone ready to lead product strategy and delivery in one of the most dynamic sectors of financial services.

You'll work across the full product lifecycle, partnering with global teams and stakeholders to shape digital platforms for brokers, MGAs, syndicates, and carriers. From underwriting and claims to data modeling and integration, you'll drive end-to-end product success in a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete product lifecycle from vision and strategy through backlog management and release planning
• Translate complex specialty insurance and London Market processes into user stories and actionable delivery roadmaps
• Define and monitor success metrics aligned to business objectives including data completeness, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to design scalable data models, APIs, and integration standards
• Engage stakeholders across underwriting, operations, technology, and compliance functions to ensure alignment and successful delivery
• Leverage AI-enabled tools where appropriate to enhance product delivery while applying sound judgment and responsible practices

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager within specialty insurance, the London Market, or reinsurance
• Strong understanding of delegated authority frameworks and placement processes
• Knowledge of platforms such as PPL, Whitespace, and digital services used in the London Market
• Familiarity with regulatory and data standards including Blueprint Two, ACORD, and data governance practices
• Experience delivering digital, data, or workflow platforms in an Agile environment
• Strong analytical, communication, and facilitation skills with ability to work effectively across diverse teams

Preferred:

• Hands-on experience with market APIs, integration tools, and specialty insurance platforms
• Familiarity with MGA models and delegated authority operations
• Knowledge of AI and data product strategies, including GenAI
• Experience supporting multi-region or cross-border product deliveries
• Understanding of compliance, risk, and governance requirements in financial services product development
