Director of Product & Engineering – Operations (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential B2B SaaS organization seeking a Director of Product & Engineering - Operations to lead engineering teams building guest recognition, personalized experiences, automation, and role-aware workflows. This is a remote opportunity with significant scope and impact.

In this role, you will:

• Direct engineering teams across guest recognition, personalized experiences, automation, and role-aware workflows, building clarity, accountability, and a high-performance culture through managers and senior engineers
• Set engineering direction that balances speed, quality, and long-term scalability across a complex, cross-product area
• Work across Product, Design, Data, and other engineering directors to turn strategy into execution
• Raise the bar on engineering excellence, operational health, and delivery rigour
• Drive effective cross-team work where ecosystem value flows across multiple product areas
• Coach engineering managers to make sound judgements, reduce unnecessary complexity, and build teams that move fast without collapsing under scale or operational pressure
• Translate strategy into measurable outcomes, with clearer metrics, stronger prioritization, and tighter links between engineering delivery and business impact

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Significant experience directing engineering organizations in a modern B2B SaaS, platform, or product company
• A track record of building through scale, ambiguity, and change — developing healthy organizations through managers and senior engineers
• Strong technical judgement: the ability to guide architecture, quality, and execution at the right level of involvement without needing to be across every technical choice
• The ability to work closely with Product and Design in a model where business context, user value, and engineering execution are tightly integrated
• A bias for clarity, pragmatism, and high standards — with the willingness to make hard trade-offs and keep teams focused on what matters most
• Advanced AI fluency: you have changed how a whole engineering organization works through AI — not just your own workflow. You have helped set the standards, tooling, and expectations for how engineering teams use AI responsibly and effectively at scale

Nice to have:

• Experience in hospitality, travel, or guest-facing product domains
• Familiarity with CRM-adjacent systems, guest data platforms, or personalization at scale
