Senior Manager of Data – Finance

Responsibilities

We are representing a fast-growing SaaS organization with strong fintech operations across Europe. They need a senior data leader to own and scale their finance and regulatory data platform.

In this role, you will:

• Lead and grow a Finance and Regulatory Data team of data engineers and data scientists distributed across Europe
• Define and execute the strategy, architecture and roadmap for the finance and regulatory data platform
• Prioritize and deliver data projects serving Corporate Finance, FP&A, Financial Systems, fintech operations and Revenue Operations
• Establish rigorous standards for data quality, governance, lineage and auditability across all finance and regulatory datasets
• Partner directly with CFO-level and senior finance stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions
• Replace manual, spreadsheet-driven processes with automation, advanced analytics and machine learning-powered insights
• Build production-grade AI and ML systems that predict churn risk, revenue leakage and customer health, connecting operational data to financial outcomes

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Hands-on experience managing large-scale data infrastructure on platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake or similar lakehouse environments
• Ability to engage meaningfully with data architecture and code, even if not writing every pipeline yourself
• Proven track record in finance-heavy, regulated or operationally complex environments; SaaS with strong finance exposure is highly valued
• Deep understanding of control frameworks, auditability, lineage and the unique governance requirements of finance data
• Experience leading small, senior technical teams through ambiguity and organizational change
• Confidence partnering with C-level finance and technology stakeholders as a peer
• Leadership style that balances high performance expectations with empathy, clarity and team engagement
• Active use of AI tools as a core part of your daily workflow, not as an experiment
• Experience building and deploying production AI and ML systems that drive business outcomes, with a focus on governance, reliability and cross-functional adoption

Nice to have:

• Experience building or modernizing finance data platforms to meet growing regulatory, governance and audit requirements
• Background in financial services, payments or other regulated industries
• Track record of linking operational data to financial outcomes such as revenue modeling, churn prediction or leakage detection
