Product Manager (all genders) – IoT Platform

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology client in Munich that is transforming how connected hardware fleets are managed at scale. As their recruiting partner, Get A Job.ai is searching for a Product Manager to own a critical piece of their IoT platform infrastructure.

In this role, you will be responsible for cloud-based platform capabilities that power a growing fleet of connected devices. You'll work at the intersection of internal tooling, event-driven architecture, and operational scalability, partnering with system performance teams, customer success, technical implementation, and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product strategy for platform capabilities including configuration, rollout, monitoring, and fleet operations tooling
• Define and drive the roadmap for operational tooling used by internal teams across the organization
• Translate pain points from operations teams into scalable, reliable product improvements
• Manage event-driven services such as device-derived platform capabilities and real-time data processing
• Ensure platform logic remains reliable, observable, and scalable as complexity and business-critical use cases grow
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to balance technical constraints, user needs, and business priorities
• Align cross-functional stakeholders including operations, product leadership, and technical teams

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of experience owning complex software or platform products from problem definition through delivery and iteration
• Strong technical understanding of backend, cloud infrastructure, and system architecture with ability to discuss trade-offs with engineers
• Experience working with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and technologies such as Kafka and MQTT
• Background in platform, SaaS, infrastructure, operational tooling, IoT, or hardware-adjacent environments
• Proven ability to align cross-functional teams and make data-driven product decisions using monitoring and user feedback
• Fluent English (C1 level or higher); German is a plus
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with anchor days for in-person collaboration
