Product Engineer (m/w/d) AI Native

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential healthcare technology organization in Berlin that is building a platform to power multiple internal products. As a Product Engineer, you will:

• Guide new products from concept through to production deployment, defining product requirements, developing hypotheses, and validating assumptions
• Design user flows and interfaces in collaboration with leadership, iterating on designs based on direct user feedback
• Develop initial versions using coding agents and AI-assisted workflows
• Build and evolve the core platform architecture, including bounded contexts, data modeling, authentication flows, and integrations
• Design scalable architectures for multi-tenancy, security, and growth
• Create developer tools and infrastructure including clear API contracts, modular boundaries, reusable SDKs, and a design system for consistent application development
• Define the interface between the platform and coding agents, developing skills, workflows, and standards for reliable AI-assisted software development
• Make technical decisions in partnership with leadership, balancing architecture, product needs, and user experience
• Own quality, maintainability, and long-term scalability

What We're Looking For

• Strong expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL
• Proven track record taking products from idea to production
• User-problem-focused thinking rather than ticket-driven development
• Experience with APIs, domain modeling, authentication, and scalable architectures
• Daily use of coding agents and AI-assisted development workflows
• Understanding of what standards, documentation, and contracts AI needs to reliably develop software
• Comfort working across both product development and platform engineering
• Structured, self-directed work style with strong execution abilities
• Entrepreneurial mindset that questions existing solutions
• German language proficiency for collaboration with internal teams
• High standards and initiative – you build solutions rather than wait for requirements

The tech stack includes TypeScript, NestJS, PostgreSQL, AWS/CDK, contract-first APIs, shared SDKs, design systems, clean architecture, and AI-first development practices.
