Founding Growth Partner / AI Marketing Lead (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a bootstrapped SaaS organization in Berlin that is building an AI-first marketing engine from the ground up. Our client has achieved product-market fit, secured major customers, and validated their go-to-market approach. What they need now is a founding marketing partner who can build systematic demand generation from zero to scale.

This is not a traditional marketing manager role. You will work directly with the founding team to architect the entire marketing function—deciding which channels work, which audiences convert, and how to leverage AI agents and automation to achieve the impact of a much larger team.

Responsibilities

• Build the complete marketing architecture in collaboration with leadership, making strategic decisions about channels, audiences, and messaging
• Develop and test marketing mechanics across LinkedIn, email, newsletters, landing pages, webinars, social media, content, and SEO
• Design AI-first processes using agents and automation to maximize team leverage
• Create systems that convert attention into qualified pipeline and revenue, not just content volume
• Establish reproducible demand generation mechanisms within the first 90 days
• Test rapidly, discard what doesn't work, and scale what does
• Build funnel-driven campaigns with clear measurement and optimization frameworks

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on execution ability—you implement, not just strategize
• Deep understanding of B2B marketing and enterprise buying cycles
• Strong writing and sales communication skills
• Funnel thinking with a metrics-driven approach to optimization
• Daily use of AI tools in your current workflow
• Self-direction and ability to identify priorities without extensive briefing
• Background in growth marketing, marketing automation, or AI-enabled marketing
• Experience building marketing systems from scratch (agency, freelance, or in-house)
• Curiosity and willingness to experiment with new tools and approaches
• Fluency in German and English for the Berlin market

Compensation Structure

This role begins with performance-based compensation tied directly to marketing-generated business outcomes. Our client is explicitly seeking someone willing to take entrepreneurial risk in exchange for significant upside participation. As the marketing engine proves successful, this transitions to a permanent Head of Marketing position with salary, equity participation via VSOP or similar instruments, and long-term leadership responsibility.

Pay details will be discussed during the screening process based on the specific performance structure and transition timeline.
