Manager, Clinical Operations (Home-Based) – IQVIA Biotech

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential life sciences organization seeking a Manager of Clinical Operations for a home-based role in the United States. Our client is a global provider of clinical research services supporting the development and commercialization of innovative medical treatments. This is a full-time, remote management position requiring strong leadership in clinical trial operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage clinical operations staff in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements, including planning work assignments, assessing performance, guiding professional development, and addressing employee relations issues
• Participate in candidate review and interviewing processes for new hires; ensure proper onboarding and training of new employees
• Ensure staff have appropriate materials, systems access, and training to complete job responsibilities; oversee execution of training plans and SOP review
• Allocate resources to clinical research projects by assigning staff to studies based on experience and training
• Manage quality of clinical work through regular review and evaluation of staff work product
• Identify quality risks and issues; create corrective action plans to prevent or correct performance deficiencies
• Monitor staff adherence to defined workload and quality metrics through regular review and reporting
• Collaborate with clinical teams and functional leadership to manage project challenges and achieve excellent customer service
• Participate in departmental quality and process improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree; scientific discipline or healthcare background preferred
• Prior clinical trial experience with demonstrated management or leadership capacity, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• In-depth knowledge of clinical research regulatory requirements including Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines
• Strong leadership abilities with proven experience managing teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong command of English
• Outstanding organizational and problem-solving capabilities
• Effective time management skills with ability to manage competing priorities
• Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues, managers, and clients
