About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a well-established fashion retail organization operating across northern Germany. This confidential client manages multiple retail locations offering women's, men's, and children's apparel, young fashion, accessories, and home living products. We are seeking a Head of People & Culture to lead all human resources functions for this dynamic retail business based in Flensburg.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary partner to leadership on all personnel-related matters
- Develop innovative HR initiatives for employee retention and development
- Ensure optimal sales floor staffing and workforce planning to support strategic business objectives
- Attend relevant industry trade shows and implement modern methods to position the retail brand as an attractive employer
- Maintain hands-on retail presence by supporting sales operations and customer service on the shop floor
- Drive situational workforce deployment to maximize sales performance
What We're Looking For
- Completed vocational training as a retail management specialist or degree with textile/fashion knowledge; additional qualification as a retail management specialist (Handelsfachwirt) or HR specialist (Personalfachwirt) is highly valued
- Entrepreneurial mindset with genuine passion for people management, motivation, and employee development
- Confident, authentic presence combined with strong communication skills and assertiveness
- Innovative and creative approach with commitment to advancing your area of responsibility
- Friendly, customer-focused personality with proven retail sales ability
- Fluency in German required for this role
