Product Designer, Shop Everything

About This Role

We are representing a confidential social media technology client in their search for a Product Designer to lead commerce innovation at scale. This is a high-impact role focused on transforming how consumers discover and purchase products through visual content, and how creators monetize their audience.

You will own the end-to-end design of shopping experiences embedded directly into social feeds, stories, and video content. On one side, you'll empower creators to earn from their content through intelligent product tagging, cross-catalog search, and monetization tools. On the other, you'll design purchase journeys that turn inspiration into action—from product discovery through checkout—leveraging AI to assist decision-making, persistent carts, and trust-building in a multi-seller marketplace.

This role requires a senior designer comfortable operating in ambiguity, defining new patterns rather than replicating existing ones, and building conviction with leadership across a global product org.

Responsibilities

• Design the full creator commerce experience: product discovery, linking, audience visibility, earnings, and insights
• Create shoppable content formats that feel native and delightful while rewarding creators fairly
• Innovate AI-assisted creation flows such as auto-tagging, catalog search, and product suggestions that reduce friction
• Define the end-to-end consumer purchase journey from interest through consideration, cart, and checkout
• Reimagine the product detail page around AI-assisted decision-making rather than static product specs
• Design a persistent, cross-surface cart that supports intermittent browsing behaviors
• Establish interaction models for agentic purchasing: delegation, control, transparency, and recovery
• Build trust across a multi-catalog ecosystem with third-party sellers, variable data quality, and different checkout flows
• Drive long-term product vision and build alignment with executives and cross-functional partners

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related field
• 8+ years building and shipping applications at company-level scale, leading end-to-end experiences in large, ambiguous domains
• Interaction design expertise: defining how experiences should behave based on user needs, with strong prototyping skills
• Visual design proficiency in typography, mobile/desktop UI, color, layout, iconography, and how aesthetics impact function
• Strategic product thinking: setting goals, identifying global opportunities, making impact-driven decisions
• Ability to represent work to executives with clear, succinct communication of goals and concepts
• Demonstrated use of AI tools to optimize workflows and drive measurable impact (efficiency, quality improvements)
• Understanding of the creator ecosystem and monetization tools
• Experience implementing responsible AI practices: risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality reviews
• Ongoing AI skill development in prompt engineering, agent orchestration, and emerging technologies
• Familiarity with industry-leading e-commerce shopping experiences
• Experience with AI prototyping, coding, and productivity tools
