PRN Resident Engagement Assistant (AM)

Silverado in Alhambra, California is looking for a PRN Resident Engagement Assistant to brighten mornings for individuals living with memory challenges. Join our top-ranked memory care team and make a meaningful difference through creative activities and genuine human connection.

Role Overview

Working Saturdays through Mondays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in this AM shift position, you'll serve as a valued team member supporting our Director of Resident Engagement in delivering purposeful, joyful programming. You'll facilitate recreational activities designed specifically for residents living with Alzheimer's disease and other dementia diagnoses, helping each person experience dignity, participation, and social belonging throughout their day.

Responsibilities

• Assist with designing and implementing daily and weekly resident activity programs
• Facilitate small-group memory enrichment activities that promote engagement and celebrate resident capabilities
• Gather materials, research program ideas, and prepare activity supplies
• Support residents during music therapy and occupational therapy sessions
• Foster meaningful interactions with residents, encouraging participation and recognizing their contributions

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Fluent in verbal and written English
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Dependable transportation and consistent attendance
• Comfort being around resident pets and facility animals
• Compassion for seniors and willingness to support those living with Alzheimer's and dementia
• Physical ability to walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Prior experience working with older adults or in memory care preferred
