About the Role
As a Graduate Nurse in Neurology, you'll provide direct patient care on an inpatient neurology unit at our Bridgeton hospital. You'll work full-time shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on a rotating schedule that includes every third weekend. This role requires a commitment to holiday coverage, though on-call responsibilities are not part of this position. You'll gain hands-on experience in neurological nursing while working alongside experienced clinicians who support your professional development.
What You'll Do
- Deliver direct nursing care to patients with neurological conditions, including stroke, brain injury, epilepsy, and movement disorders
- Monitor patient vital signs, neurological status, and responses to treatment protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and outcomes
- Document patient care accurately and communicate effectively with clinical staff
- Provide compassionate patient and family education about neurological conditions and recovery
- Maintain a safe, clean patient environment and follow infection control standards
- Support unit operations and participate in quality and safety initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Current Missouri registered nurse (RN) license or eligibility to obtain one
- Recent graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care and professional growth
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Physical ability to perform essential nursing duties
