Graduate Nurse Emergency Department

About the Role

As a Graduate Nurse in the Emergency Department, you'll provide direct patient care under the mentorship of experienced nursing staff, gaining hands-on experience in emergency medicine nursing. You'll be part of a collaborative team dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients presenting with acute and critical conditions. This position offers comprehensive orientation and ongoing support as you transition from graduate to competent emergency department nurse.

What You'll Do

• Assess and monitor patients presenting with emergency conditions, vital signs, and clinical changes
• Administer medications, treatments, and patient education under supervision and according to protocols
• Assist with emergency procedures and provide wound care management
• Document patient interactions, observations, and interventions accurately in the electronic health record
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Prioritize patient safety and maintain compliance with infection control and departmental policies
• Contribute to a welcoming, supportive emergency department culture

What We're Looking For

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current eligibility to practice nursing as an RN in Missouri
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• Ability to work in a high-intensity environment and adapt to changing patient needs
• Commitment to compassionate, evidence-based patient care
• Willingness to work a rotating schedule including nights and every third weekend
