Corteva Agriscience is hiring a Regional EHS Operations Manager to lead health, safety, and environmental initiatives at our Johnston, Polk County facility. This full-time position plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence while maintaining the highest standards of workplace safety and environmental stewardship across our regional operations.

About This Position

The Regional EHS Operations Manager drives EHS strategy, regulatory compliance, and safety culture across assigned operations. You'll work closely with plant leadership, cross-functional teams, and field staff to design and execute programs that reduce risk, prevent incidents, and support our commitment to continuous improvement. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in audits, investigations, training, and compliance management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement regional EHS policies, procedures, and standards aligned with Corteva Agriscience requirements and regulatory frameworks
  • Conduct facility inspections, hazard assessments, and safety audits to identify risks and drive corrective actions
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking to prevent recurrence
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, and local environmental and occupational safety regulations
  • Build and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies on permits, inspections, and compliance matters
  • Develop and deliver training programs on EHS policies, hazard recognition, and safe work practices
  • Track EHS metrics and KPIs; prepare reports for management and external stakeholders
  • Champion a proactive safety culture and mentor operational teams on continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional EHS experience
  • 5+ years of EHS management, operations, or safety leadership experience
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA environmental standards, and state/local compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated experience conducting incident investigations, hazard assessments, and building corrective action plans
  • Proficiency with EHS management systems, incident tracking software, and data analysis tools
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills; ability to influence across organizational levels
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned region
