About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential digital health organization seeking a Principal Product Designer to join their team in London. Our client is transforming how patients engage with healthcare through an integrated platform combining diagnostics, medication, digital programmes, and professional consultations.
This is a senior individual contributor role for a master designer who operates with deep autonomy, strong product judgement, and an AI-first mindset. You'll shape patient-facing mobile and web experiences that materially improve usability, trust, and outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Take complex, ambiguous health challenges and turn them into clear, elegant, high-quality experiences that materially improve usability, trust, and patient outcomes
- Push teams beyond functional UX toward thoughtful, polished, and premium product experiences across visual design, interaction, and motion
- Independently own high-value, strategically important experience problems from early thinking through to polished shipped execution without requiring heavy oversight
- Use realistic modelling of flows and interaction patterns to drive alignment, tell compelling design stories, and help Engineering move faster
- Lead by example by using modern AI tooling as a core part of your workflow to materially improve speed, iteration, and prototyping, while knowing exactly where human craft matters most
What We're Looking For
- A proven track record as a Principal Designer (or equivalent senior IC) shaping high-quality, consumer-facing digital products
- Clear evidence of driving product quality, challenging direction, and solving complex problems across UX, systems, visual craft, and interaction
- Strong experience partnering with Product, Engineering, Commercial, Clinical, and Behavioural Science teams
- Proven experience using modern AI tooling to create real leverage, speed, and iteration quality in your design practice, with the ability to scale these ways of working across the team
- Exceptional visual product design capability with deep craft maturity and impeccable taste
- High comfort level with ambiguity and a knack for bringing clarity to regulatory, technical, or business constraints
- Strong communication skills to challenge "good enough" work and align senior stakeholders
- The ability to perfectly balance ambition, speed, and premium product quality
