Principal, CEO Office

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Principal to join their CEO Office in London. This is a hands-on, manager-level individual contributor role focused on driving high-priority strategic and operational initiatives from conception through measurable impact.

You will work directly with senior leadership on cross-functional problems that matter—turning ambiguous challenges into clear decisions and coordinated execution. This role combines analytical rigor with operational follow-through, requiring someone who can influence without formal authority and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own defined, high-priority cross-functional initiatives end-to-end, from problem framing and stakeholder alignment through implementation and measurable outcomes
• Support the CEO and Head of the CEO Office on critical initiatives by coordinating delivery, stakeholder collaboration, and progress tracking
• Investigate complex, ambiguous problems by clarifying issues, developing practical solutions, and implementing durable processes or systems
• Contribute to organizational scaling efforts including organization design, objectives and KPI setting, and operating process development
• Navigate ambiguity by surfacing insights, decisions, and risks while coordinating follow-through and supporting cross-team alignment
• Drive projects that may span organizational model design, international expansion strategy, scaling new business lines, strategic planning, go-to-market execution, regulatory and financial infrastructure initiatives, and board reporting support

What We're Looking For

• Experience in fast-paced, high-performance environments such as consulting, high-growth technology, investing, investment banking, strategic finance, or entrepreneurial operations
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to use first-principles thinking, data, and judgment to structure ambiguous problems and move between strategic and operational detail
• Advanced SQL or hands-on data analysis capabilities preferred
• Track record of turning analysis into practical plans, KPIs, processes, tools, or systems that create lasting value
• Experience building low-code/no-code or AI automations is a plus
• Demonstrated ownership of cross-functional work with measurable outcomes
• Ability to build trust, navigate trade-offs, and influence across functions without formal authority
• Low-ego, collaborative approach to working with senior stakeholders
• Learning agility and entrepreneurial mindset with evidence of creating, launching, or materially improving initiatives from scratch
• Payments or fintech exposure and international experience are advantages
• Founding or entrepreneurial experience valued but not required
