Praktikant/Werkstudent „Forschung & Innovation – Datengetriebene Entwicklung autonomer Systeme“ (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential automotive technology organization in Karlsruhe seeking an intern or working student to support research and innovation activities focused on data-driven development of autonomous systems.

In this role, you will:

• Support the Research & Innovation Manager with daily project and innovation work
• Conduct research, evaluation, and contribute to research projects and funding initiatives
• Work on innovation topics related to data-driven development pipelines for fully autonomous vehicles
• Contribute to the development of methodologies for autonomous systems using full-vehicle simulation
• Participate in Formula Student activities and help create development environments, including for Driverless challenges
• Collaborate across disciplines to solve complex technical challenges

What We're Looking For

Our client requires candidates who are:

• Currently enrolled students in engineering, computer science (technical focus), automotive engineering, data science, or a comparable field
• Genuinely interested in vehicle simulation, autonomous driving, and data-driven development approaches
• Preferably familiar with simulation tools and/or programming languages such as Python or MATLAB
• Ideally experienced with Formula Student, particularly in the Driverless category
• Excited about solving complex, interdisciplinary problems
• Highly motivated with analytical thinking skills and a structured, independent working style
