What This Role Involves

As a Lead Pharmacy Technician, you'll take on a supervisory role within our CMC Pharmacy operations. This position combines hands-on technical pharmacy work with leadership responsibilities, allowing you to directly impact both patient outcomes and team performance. Working on a variable shift schedule, you'll manage daily pharmacy activities, oversee inventory and compliance, and provide direction to pharmacy team members while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and safety.

What You'll Do

• Lead and supervise pharmacy technician staff during assigned shifts
• Prepare and dispense medications with precision and attention to detail
• Verify prescriptions and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations
• Manage pharmacy inventory, ordering, and stock rotation
• Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians on procedures and best practices
• Coordinate with pharmacists and clinical staff to optimize patient care
• Maintain detailed records and documentation in accordance with state and federal requirements
• Support quality improvement initiatives and address operational challenges

Who We're Looking For

• Current pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) or equivalent credentials required
• Proven experience as a pharmacy technician with demonstrated leadership capability
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, medications, and regulatory standards
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work variable shifts and adapt to operational needs
• Commitment to patient safety and quality healthcare delivery
• Team player with the ability to mentor and support colleagues
