Part Time Veterinarian – Miami, FL (AD)

Heartstrings Pet Hospice, In-Home Euthanasia & Aftercare is seeking a dedicated part-time veterinarian to join our Miami-based team, providing end-of-life care and compassionate support directly in clients' homes throughout Miami-Dade County and surrounding communities.

About the Role

This part-time veterinary position offers a unique opportunity to practice medicine in a meaningful, relationship-centered setting. Rather than the typical clinic environment, you'll work directly with pet families during some of life's most important moments, delivering personalized attention with unhurried consultation times and significantly reduced administrative overhead.

What You'll Do

• Conduct thorough in-home veterinary assessments and hospice evaluations for aging and critically ill pets
• Administer end-of-life care services, including at-home euthanasia procedures performed with dignity and compassion
• Provide grief support and aftercare guidance to pet families during the euthanasia process
• Coordinate cremation and memorial services in partnership with our aftercare network
• Maintain accurate medical records and communicate clearly with families about care options
• Travel throughout Miami-Dade County and surrounding areas to provide services at clients' homes

What We're Looking For

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and active Florida veterinary license
• Demonstrated experience or strong interest in hospice, palliative, or end-of-life veterinary care
• Exceptional communication and empathy skills, with ability to support families through loss
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to serve Miami-Dade County and surrounding areas
• Self-directed work style and comfort managing your own schedule in a part-time capacity
• Commitment to providing individualized, unhurried care to every patient and family
