About the Role
As a Volunteer Video Content Creator at The Education Equality Institute in Los Angeles County, you'll play a crucial role in visually communicating our impact. Through your creative work, you'll help bring attention to education initiatives that serve refugee communities, skills-based programs, and other transformational efforts that change lives. This is an unpaid volunteer position ideal for someone passionate about education equity and committed to advancing our mission through multimedia storytelling.
What You'll Do
- Conceive, plan, and produce original video content that authentically tells the stories of the communities we serve
- Film and edit high-quality video projects for sharing our mission and impact
- Collaborate with program staff to identify compelling stories and meaningful moments worth documenting
- Develop visual narratives that showcase program impact and connect with diverse audiences
- Manage video assets, maintain organized project files, and ensure content is properly archived
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience with video production, filming, and editing
- Strong storytelling ability and eye for compelling visual narratives
- Proficiency with video editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of video projects
- Genuine passion for education equity and social impact
- Excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity when working with diverse communities
