About the Role

As a Mobile Veterinarian with Heartstrings Pet Hospice, you will travel directly to pet owners' homes throughout SeaTac, Kent, Tacoma, Maple Valley, Federal Way, Lakewood, and surrounding Washington communities. This full-time or part-time position centers on end-of-life care, providing gentle in-home hospice, euthanasia, and aftercare services. We are a private, family-owned practice that supports veterinarians with a career grounded in compassion, balance, and purpose — free from corporate quotas and without restrictive non-compete clauses.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate in-home hospice and end-of-life veterinary care to pets and their families.
• Perform gentle, dignified in-home euthanasia and coordinate aftercare services.
• Travel to client homes across the SeaTac and King County service area, including Kent, Tacoma, Maple Valley, Federal Way, and Lakewood.
• Guide pet owners through difficult decisions with empathy, clear communication, and emotional support.
• Maintain accurate medical records and uphold the highest standards of patient comfort and care.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree.
• Active veterinary license valid in the state of Washington (or eligibility to obtain one).
• A genuine commitment to compassionate, patient-centered end-of-life care.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to comfort grieving families.
• Reliable means of traveling to client homes within the King County service region.
