As a Mobile Veterinarian with Heartstrings Pet Hospice, you'll travel to families across Louisville, Prospect, Crestwood, Shepherdsville, La Grange, and surrounding Kentucky communities, providing in-home hospice support, peaceful euthanasia, and aftercare guidance. Key Responsibilities

• Provide caring, in-home hospice and palliative consultations for aging and seriously ill pets
• Perform gentle, dignified in-home euthanasia tailored to each family's wishes
• Guide pet owners through aftercare options with empathy and clarity
• Develop comfort-focused care plans that prioritize quality of life
• Build trusting relationships with families during deeply personal moments
• Travel to client homes throughout Louisville and the surrounding Oldham County region

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree
• Active Kentucky veterinary license, or eligibility to obtain one
• A compassionate, patient bedside manner with both pets and grieving owners
• Comfort working independently in a mobile, in-home setting
• A valid driver's license and reliable means of traveling to appointments
• Genuine passion for end-of-life and hospice-focused veterinary care
