Operational Excellence Leader

Zoetis is hiring an Operational Excellence Leader for our full-time position at our Kalamazoo facility on Kilgore Road. This is your opportunity to lead transformational improvement initiatives and build a culture of operational excellence across a dynamic manufacturing environment.

What This Role Involves

In this Operational Excellence Leader position at Zoetis, you'll champion continuous improvement programs that drive measurable operational gains. You'll identify inefficiencies, implement sustainable solutions, and guide teams through process transformation. Working cross-functionally across manufacturing, supply chain, and quality departments, you'll apply data-driven methodologies to enhance productivity, strengthen quality, and reduce operational costs while maintaining the highest standards of performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute operational excellence roadmaps aligned with facility priorities and company strategy
• Lead and mentor improvement projects using lean, Six Sigma, or advanced continuous improvement frameworks
• Establish and monitor key operational metrics, identifying gaps and improvement opportunities
• Partner with cross-functional leadership to implement process enhancements and system upgrades
• Build capability within teams through training and coaching on improvement methodologies
• Analyze operational performance data and translate findings into actionable recommendations
• Oversee project implementation from conception through sustainability verification
• Communicate progress, insights, and strategic recommendations to senior management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in operations management, industrial engineering, business, or related discipline
• 5 or more years of hands-on experience leading operational improvements in a manufacturing setting
• Proficiency in lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with competency in performance data interpretation
• Proven ability to lead organizational change and influence cross-functional teams
• Experience managing complex improvement initiatives in regulated or production environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
