Zoetis is now hiring a Lab Tech 1 focused on Hematology at our Louisville facility. This full-time role offers hands-on experience in a modern diagnostic laboratory setting where your technical skills directly support animal health outcomes.

Core Duties

• Execute hematology tests including complete blood counts, blood differentials, and related assays using automated and manual techniques
• Operate and maintain hematology analyzers, following all quality control and calibration protocols
• Prepare and process blood samples, ensuring accuracy and proper chain of custody
• Record test results with precision and enter data into the laboratory information system
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and cleaning procedures
• Adhere strictly to laboratory safety protocols, infection control procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Collaborate with pathologists, veterinarians, and clinical staff to ensure timely, accurate reporting

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Certification as a Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT) or Laboratory Technician (LT), or ability to obtain certification
• Knowledge of hematology principles and test methodologies
• Proficiency with laboratory instrumentation and computer systems
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all tasks
• Ability to follow complex laboratory protocols and safety regulations
• Professional communication skills and teamwork orientation
