About This Position
The Quality Technician/Analyst – Microbiology Team will perform microbiological testing, quality control analysis, and laboratory operations supporting Zoetis's commitment to product excellence. You'll work in a fast-paced laboratory environment in Lincoln, applying technical expertise to support our animal health portfolio. This position requires precision, adherence to established protocols, and a strong understanding of microbiological principles and laboratory best practices.
Responsibilities
- Conduct microbiological testing and analysis on samples according to established procedures and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and handle microbiology samples, including culturing, staining, and microscopic examination
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all test results and laboratory activities
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment to ensure proper operation
- Follow all standard operating procedures and quality assurance protocols
- Collaborate with team members to meet testing timelines and quality standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Technical training or certification in microbiology, laboratory science, or related field preferred
- Demonstrated laboratory experience with microbiological testing or quality control
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording data
- Ability to follow complex written and verbal instructions
- Comfortable working with standard laboratory equipment and instruments
