About the Role

As Nightside Executive Producer, you'll oversee all aspects of evening broadcast production at KRIS, from editorial decision-making to on-air execution. This full-time position, based in Corpus Christi, Nueces County, puts you at the helm of a skilled newsroom team delivering timely, relevant journalism across television, streaming, and digital platforms.

What You'll Do

• Direct editorial strategy and content selection for KRIS's evening broadcasts and breaking news coverage
• Supervise producers, reporters, and newsroom staff to ensure quality storytelling and broadcast readiness
• Develop and manage rundowns, segment organization, and story sequencing for air
• Collaborate with day-shift teams to maintain editorial consistency and coverage priorities
• Evaluate story impact and community relevance, guiding news decisions that resonate with the Coastal Bend
• Coordinate live broadcast production, including timing, graphics, and technical execution
• Mentor emerging producers and foster professional growth within the newsroom
• Oversee cross-platform content strategy for web, mobile, and streaming distribution

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of broadcast news production experience, including executive producer or senior producer roles
• Demonstrated leadership ability with proven success managing teams under deadline pressure
• Strong editorial judgment and deep understanding of news values and story development
• Excellent writing and communication skills with clarity and precision
• Proficiency with newsroom management systems and broadcast production tools
• Commitment to ethical journalism and community-centered reporting
• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
