Texas City Independent School District is seeking a CTE Workforce Liaison in Texas City, Galveston County, to strengthen the connection between career and technical education programs and real-world employment opportunities for students. Role Overview
As CTE Workforce Liaison, you'll partner with the Career and Technical Education Director to design and implement programs that build students' employment readiness and professional skills. You'll serve as a vital link between the classroom and the workplace, ensuring that our CTE offerings align with current industry needs and prepare students for immediate success in their chosen fields.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the CTE Director to develop, refine, and expand quality career and technical education programs
- Build and maintain relationships with local employers, industry partners, and workforce development organizations
- Coordinate student internships, apprenticeships, and work-based learning experiences
- Research labor market trends to inform curriculum development and program priorities
- Support student career exploration, job readiness training, and placement initiatives
- Track and analyze student outcomes data to measure program effectiveness
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Demonstrated knowledge of career and technical education programs and best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and nurture relationships with business and community stakeholders
- Commitment to supporting student career development and employment success
