The Salvation Army is seeking a compassionate and dedicated New Day Anti-Human Trafficking Victim Advocate to join our Philadelphia Social Service Ministries team in Overbrook Hills, Philadelphia County. In this full-time position, you will provide essential support and advocacy services to survivors of human trafficking, helping them rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.

About the Role

This is a full-time role offering 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm. You will work as part of our Mobile Case Management Program under the supervision of the Program Manager, providing direct support to trafficking survivors as they navigate recovery, safety planning, and reintegration.

What You'll Do

  • Connect with trafficking survivors to understand their immediate needs and long-term goals
  • Develop individualized support plans addressing housing, employment, education, health, and legal needs
  • Coordinate referrals and access to community resources, shelters, counseling, and other services
  • Advocate within systems to ensure survivors receive appropriate support and have their voices heard
  • Maintain detailed case documentation and progress notes
  • Participate in outreach and awareness efforts in the community
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, social services, medical providers, and nonprofit partners

What We're Looking For

  • Genuine passion for supporting vulnerable populations and advancing human rights
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build trust
  • Experience in victim advocacy, social services, case management, or related fieldwork
  • Knowledge of human trafficking, trauma-informed care, or victim support services preferred
  • Ability to work with compassion while maintaining professional boundaries
  • Problem-solving orientation and resourcefulness in connecting survivors to help
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, or related field is a plus
