Medical Director of Clinical Education

This Medical Director of Clinical Education opportunity in Bend, OR places you at the center of how clinicians develop skills, stay current, and apply evidence-based practice. In this full-time leadership position with Stcharles, you will set educational direction, align learning programs with clinical standards, and foster a culture of continuous improvement that supports high-quality patient care across the organization.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead design and continuous improvement of clinical education programs for physicians, advanced practice providers, and care teams.
• Partner with clinical and administrative leaders to identify learning priorities, close competency gaps, and measure educational outcomes.
• Oversee curriculum development, precepting or faculty models, and simulation or case-based learning as appropriate for the setting.
• Ensure educational activities align with applicable accreditation, credentialing, and professional standards.
• Coach educators and clinical faculty, champion best practices in adult learning, and promote inclusive, practical teaching approaches.
• Track program impact, report findings to leadership, and refine initiatives based on feedback and performance data.
• Represent clinical education in interdisciplinary forums and support onboarding and ongoing professional development pathways.

Skills & Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with active or eligible licensure and board certification or eligibility in a relevant specialty, consistent with local and organizational requirements.
• Demonstrated experience leading or substantially contributing to clinical education, graduate medical education, continuing education, or faculty development programs.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, competency-based education, and quality or safety frameworks as they relate to training.
• Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, influence stakeholders, and communicate complex ideas clearly.
• Organizational skills to manage concurrent education initiatives, timelines, and documentation.
• Committed interest in mentoring clinicians and improving the learning environment in a Bend, OR clinical setting.
