Maintenance Technician IV

Join Mymvw as a Maintenance Technician IV at The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas, a premier oceanfront resort on Oahu's North Shore. In this full-time position, you'll lead the technical maintenance operations that keep our luxury vacation property running seamlessly for our guests.

The Opportunity

As Maintenance Technician IV, you are an experienced technical professional who takes ownership of complex systems and equipment across our resort. You'll work independently and collaboratively to ensure all building systems, mechanical equipment, and guest-facing facilities operate at peak performance. Your expertise directly impacts guest satisfaction and operational excellence at one of Hawaii's most sought-after oceanfront resorts.

Core Duties

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical equipment, and resort-wide building systems
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
• Respond to maintenance requests from housekeeping, front office, and guests with urgency and professionalism
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and document all work performed on resort systems
• Coordinate with contractors and equipment vendors for specialized repairs beyond routine maintenance
• Ensure all work complies with safety codes, building regulations, and resort standards
• Mentor junior maintenance staff and contribute to team training on new systems or procedures

Who We're Looking For

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in hospitality, resort, or commercial building operations
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
• EPA certification (for refrigerant handling) or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
• Proficiency with maintenance software and basic computer skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas location
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and work safely in varied environmental conditions
