What This Role Involves

As a CMM Programmer, you'll develop and maintain comprehensive measurement programs that ensure every component meets exacting specifications. Your programming expertise will directly support our manufacturing operations and help us maintain the quality standards that define our reputation. Working from our Franklin, Massachusetts facility, you'll bridge the gap between engineering drawings and precision measurement, collaborating with production and quality teams to solve measurement challenges and drive efficiency improvements across our operations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Program and optimize coordinate measuring machine routines to verify part dimensions, geometry, and tolerance compliance
• Write, test, and debug CMM software code to automate measurement sequences and improve measurement accuracy
• Review and analyze measurement data to identify quality trends, potential issues, and opportunities for process improvement
• Partner with manufacturing engineering and quality teams to interpret technical specifications and translate them into precise measurement programs
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all measurement programs, procedures, and best practices
• Troubleshoot measurement system problems and collaborate to implement corrective actions quickly

Who We're Looking For

• Proven experience programming coordinate measuring machines in a manufacturing or quality environment
• Proficiency with CMM software platforms and measurement programming languages
• Solid working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and machining principles
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to debug measurement programs systematically
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to precision and accuracy
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
• Technical training, certification, or relevant hands-on experience in metrology, quality assurance, or manufacturing technology
