This senior-level role will shape data architecture for policy administration platforms serving life insurance and annuity clients across the United States.

Our client operates at the intersection of enterprise data platforms, cloud architecture, and insurance operations. You'll act as the technical authority for data solutions spanning staging environments, quality and integration frameworks, digital connectivity, reporting, analytics, and emerging AI capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the long-term data architecture vision across policy administration data platforms, staging databases, quality frameworks, digital integration solutions, and analytics capabilities
  • Establish enterprise data architecture standards, principles, governance models, and architecture review practices for major insurance data initiatives
  • Own the strategic roadmap for core data product capabilities, improving usability, consistency, completeness, and business value of data structures
  • Define enhancements that simplify downstream data consumption for reporting, integrations, analytics, regulatory reporting, data warehouses, and enterprise data platforms
  • Serve as the primary data architecture advisor for client implementations and strategic pursuits in the life insurance and annuity space
  • Guide clients in mapping policy administration data structures to downstream applications, enterprise data warehouses, data lakes, CRM platforms, regulatory reporting systems, and finance systems
  • Create reusable mapping frameworks, reference architectures, accelerators, and implementation patterns that improve repeatability across clients
  • Lead the evolution of insurance data architecture toward modern, event-driven, CDC-based, streaming, and real-time consumption models
  • Partner with product, engineering, delivery, and client teams to improve scalability, maintainability, performance, and ease of adoption
  • Travel as required based on business need and client requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years with data warehouses, reporting platforms, operational data stores, and integration architectures
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (minimum 12 years if no degree; minimum 6 years if Associate's Degree)

Professional Skills:

  • Strong understanding of API-based, event-driven, and distributed system architectures
  • Experience defining data governance and metadata management strategies
  • Strong communication, consulting, and stakeholder management skills
