Spring Branch Independent School District is seeking qualified Licensed Specialists in School Psychology (LSSP) for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time position based in the Spring Branch area serving students across all grade levels who need comprehensive psychological services and academic support.

About the Role

As an LSSP, you'll provide essential mental health and psychological support services to students, families, and school staff. You'll conduct psychoeducational and psychological assessments, develop intervention plans, and collaborate across our district to help students succeed academically and socially. This role reports to the Director of Special Education, the Supervisor for Psychological Services, and individual campus principals.

What You'll Do

  • Administer, interpret, and report results of psychological and educational assessments for students with suspected disabilities or learning differences
  • Participate in IEP and 504 plan development meetings, providing clinical expertise and recommendations
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to design evidence-based interventions and support strategies
  • Provide crisis intervention and mental health support when students face behavioral or emotional challenges
  • Support Response to Intervention (RTI) initiatives and school-wide mental health programs
  • Maintain comprehensive, confidential records and documentation in compliance with state and federal requirements
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment that supports student well-being

What We're Looking For

  • Valid Texas LSSP (Licensed Specialist in School Psychology) credential
  • Master's degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Valid Texas teacher certification
  • Strong assessment, consultation, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of special education law and multi-tiered systems of support
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and families
  • Commitment to supporting all students' mental health and academic growth
