This is a part-time position scheduled for approximately 4 hours per day and includes partial benefits. Working under supervision in a busy school cafeteria, the Child Nutrition Assistant supports every stage of daily meal service — from preparing food to serving students and handling cleanup. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of meals and food items served in the school cafeteria.
- Serve meals to students and staff in a friendly, efficient manner.
- Carry out cleaning and sanitation duties for kitchen areas, equipment, and serving stations.
- Follow food safety and quantity food preparation practices under the direction of cafeteria supervisors.
- Support the smooth daily operation of the child nutrition program at Lee County Schools.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Some experience in quantity food preparation is preferred.
- Some experience operating delivery-type vehicles is preferred.
- Working knowledge of basic food preparation methods.
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of a cafeteria team while following supervision.
