About the Role

As a Korean into Japanese QC Editor, you will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and validating Korean-to-Japanese translations before publication. This role sits at the heart of our quality assurance process, where linguistic precision and cultural accuracy directly impact how audiences experience our content. You will work closely with translators, project managers, and content teams to maintain consistent terminology, style, and tone across all deliverables. Your expertise in both languages and deep understanding of localization best practices will be essential to catching errors that automated tools miss and elevating translation quality to publication standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and edit Korean-to-Japanese translations for accuracy, clarity, and consistency
  • Verify terminology against approved glossaries and style guides
  • Check translations for cultural appropriateness and localization best practices
  • Identify and correct grammatical, spelling, and formatting errors
  • Provide constructive feedback to translators on quality improvements
  • Maintain detailed QC reports and documentation for project records
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to meet quality and delivery timelines

Skills & Qualifications

  • Native or near-native fluency in Korean and Japanese
  • Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience in translation QC, editing, or localization
  • Deep familiarity with Korean and Japanese grammar, syntax, and cultural nuances
  • Proven ability to work with translation management and quality assurance tools
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies in complex content
  • Excellent project management and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
