About the Role
Lindon City is hiring a seasonal, part-time Lifeguard to help oversee daily operations at the Lindon Aquatics Center. Working under the close supervision of facility management, you will be the first line of defense for guest safety, monitoring the pool deck and water to ensure every visitor enjoys a secure and welcoming environment. This position sits within the Parks and Recreation Department, with first reviews and interviews planned for April 2026 and an anticipated start date of May 1, 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Watch swimmers and surveil pool areas to prevent accidents and respond quickly to emergencies
- Enforce facility rules and water-safety guidelines in a fair, friendly manner
- Perform rescues and administer first aid or CPR when required
- Assist with routine pool maintenance and keep deck areas clean and hazard-free
- Provide courteous customer service and answer guest questions
- Follow instructions and procedures set by aquatics management
Qualifications
- Current lifeguard certification (or willingness to obtain), including CPR and first aid
- Strong swimming ability and comfort in and around the water
- Attentiveness, sound judgment, and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work a seasonal part-time schedule
- A team-oriented attitude and dependable communication skills
Compensation
This is a seasonal, part-time position with a starting pay rate of $13.70 per hour (Seasonal Range 2: $13.70–$17.20). The posting opened February 6, 2026, and remains open until filled.
