About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential digital product studio in Munich that builds client software and operates its own AI-powered applications. Our talent team is searching for a Junior Software Engineer who is ready to work in the way modern development actually happens—with AI tooling integrated into the daily workflow from day one.
This is not a traditional junior role where you type every character by hand and wait in a review queue. You will direct AI coding agents, review their output with a critical eye, and own features end-to-end. The fundamentals matter more than ever here: you must understand the code deeply enough to catch what the agent got wrong, harden what it produced, and ship software you can stand behind.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship features on client projects and internal products using TypeScript, React, and Node.js
- Work agent-first: leverage AI development tools to accelerate delivery, then review and validate output
- Read, debug, and improve code generated by both humans and AI agents
- Turn ambiguous requirements into working software through tight iteration cycles
- Own discrete features from draft to production, with senior engineering support available when needed
What We're Looking For
Must-Have:
- Degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience
- Solid fundamentals in TypeScript, React, and Node.js—you have built real projects with this stack, whether professionally, academically, or independently
- Hands-on experience with AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar. This is required, not optional. We need to see that you already work this way and have developed opinions about where these tools excel and where they fall short
- A verification-first mindset: you review and test what the agent produces rather than accepting it at face value
- Clear written and verbal communication in English
Nice to Have:
- Side projects, open-source contributions, or live work we can review
- Exposure to databases, API design, or cloud deployment
- German language skills
How We Work With You
Candidates apply directly through Get A Job.ai. Our recruiting team will conduct an initial screen to understand your background and review examples of your work—especially projects where you used AI coding tools. If there is a mutual fit, we will submit your profile to our client for consideration. Please do not attempt to contact the client directly, as all communication flows through our team to ensure a structured and respectful process.
When you apply, please include your CV and—critically—something you have built: a repository, a live product, or a short write-up of a project you shipped using AI tools and what you learned from the process. Our client wants to see what you can do, not just read a résumé.
Pay
Compensation details will be discussed during the screening process and are competitive for a junior engineering role in Munich.
Equal Opportunity: Get A Job.ai is committed to inclusive hiring practices. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability.
