IT-Systemadministrator – Schwerpunkt Infrastruktur (m/w/x)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential manufacturing organization seeking an IT Systems Administrator with infrastructure focus for their location in Viersen, Germany. In this role, you will ensure stable operations of the IT landscape and actively contribute to its development.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Processing and resolving 2nd-level tickets in the infrastructure environment
• Analysis, prioritization, and sustainable resolution of complex technical incidents
• Operation, administration, and continuous optimization of IT systems
• Participation in rollouts, change management, and IT projects
• Supporting the advancement of IT security and infrastructure standards

What We're Looking For

Our client requires expertise across multiple areas of the following technologies:

Security & Monitoring: Experience with email security solutions, firewall administration, endpoint protection platforms, and network monitoring tools

Microsoft / O365 / Azure: Exchange administration (users, shared mailboxes, distribution lists, resources, rules, connectors), O365 hybrid environments, multi-factor authentication, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Azure/Entra

Server & Virtualization: Windows Server, VMware vSphere/ESX, VDI, backup solutions, update management, print servers

Network & Infrastructure: VLAN configuration, switching, DMZ setup, Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS

Client Systems: Remote application delivery, client management and software packaging, ticketing systems, two-factor authentication, Linux

Databases & Automation: SQL Server installation and troubleshooting, PowerShell scripting

Hardware: Operations, management, and inventory control

Qualifications:

• Completed IT training (such as IT Specialist for System Integration) or equivalent qualification through professional experience
• Career changers with demonstrable interest and practical experience in IT infrastructure/IT support are explicitly welcome
• Initial to several years of experience in IT support (1st/2nd level) or IT infrastructure operations preferred
• Strong knowledge in several of the technologies listed above
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working approach
• Team-oriented with initiative and sense of responsibility
• German language proficiency required for this position
