IT Manager

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology company seeking an IT Manager to own day-to-day IT operations and security. This is a hands-on role based in London for someone who enjoys solving practical problems while keeping systems running smoothly and securely. You'll report to the CIO and serve as the go-to person for all things IT across the organization.

A significant focus of this position is operational security—keeping devices patched and configured properly, managing access controls, bringing order to software sprawl, and ensuring smooth, secure onboarding and offboarding processes. You'll implement the controls and standards set by the security team and make them work in everyday practice.

Responsibilities

• Own endpoint security operations, including device configuration, patching, local admin rights management, and reducing unmanaged software
• Manage workplace and network security, including office network infrastructure and separating guest from corporate access
• Run day-to-day identity operations: provisioning, joiner/mover/leaver processes, and regular access reviews
• Manage software licensing across the company and control tool sprawl
• Oversee third-party vendor relationships such as internet suppliers
• Maintain office network, devices, and hardware
• Run the IT helpdesk and ensure users receive quick, helpful support
• Design and execute smooth onboarding and offboarding experiences

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing IT operations in a growing company
• Hands-on expertise with device management and endpoint tooling
• Strong knowledge of identity and access operations, including provisioning and access reviews
• Experience managing software licensing and controlling organizational tool sprawl
• Background managing corporate network infrastructure and equipment
• Experience running a helpdesk or support function with a user-focused approach
• Security-minded, practical approach to everyday IT operations
• Ability to balance user productivity with security requirements
