IT-Administrator (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a dynamic, owner-managed IT services organization based in the Albstadt region of Germany. Our client provides comprehensive IT solutions to mid-sized businesses throughout the area, focusing on infrastructure, digitalization, and strategic technology consulting.

This IT Administrator role is essential to delivering quality technical support and infrastructure management for their regional client base. You'll work on-site at the company location in Albstadt-Tailfingen and travel to customer sites throughout the Zollernalbkreis region.

Important: This position requires residence in or near Albstadt, as regular customer visits are part of the role. Fluent German (minimum C1 level) is mandatory for daily client communication. The role is available in full-time or part-time (60-70%) arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain client and server systems in Microsoft environments
• Manage network infrastructure including VPNs, internet connections, and security protocols
• Administer Windows Server applications: Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Exchange Online, and SQL Server (on-premise and cloud)
• Provide 1st and 2nd level technical support to end users at mid-sized client organizations
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and document technical issues systematically
• Consult with customers on IT requirements and contribute to proposal development
• Participate actively in IT projects and assume responsibility for IT service operations
• Work with virtualization platforms including Hyper-V and Proxmox
• Support telephony systems including 3CX configurations, DECT, and IP telephony infrastructure (preferred)

What We're Looking For

• Completed IT training (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration, IT Systems Electronics Technician) or comparable experience as a career changer
• Previous professional experience in IT support, ideally with direct customer contact
• Strong technical knowledge of Windows clients and servers
• Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies
• Understanding of networks, firewalls, and backup solutions
• Valid Class B driver's license for customer site visits
• Residence in the Albstadt region or willingness to relocate
• Independent, structured working style with strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused, authentic approach
• Fluent German (minimum C1 level) required; solid English skills beneficial
