Influence Account Director

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential marketing communications agency in London to recruit an Influence Account Director on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a hybrid role reporting to a Business Director.

You will lead day-to-day influencer campaigns from identification through creative development, implementation, and reporting, while supporting managers and executives. Your responsibilities include:

• Design and define industry-leading influencer strategy, recommending objectives, targets, action plans, calendars, and budgets
• Align and collaborate with media, PR, social, brand activation, digital, and other stakeholders—internal and external—to deliver best-in-class campaigns
• Nurture client-appropriate talent opportunities and relationships to help deliver influencer programs
• Lead and deliver creative content solutions to internal stakeholders and clients
• Oversee day-to-day activations and provide oversight and counsel for junior support teams
• Provide senior counsel to clients, advising on industry developments and showing relevance on the ground
• Stay up-to-date with cultural and social trends and customers' views and attitudes
• Assist in promoting the influencer offering across the business, including writing thought leadership and attending industry events
• Lead additional projects as required—such as new business pitches, market reviews, and competitive trends
• Lead and inspire your team, acting as a role model and source of advice and guidance to direct reports

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate brings proven experience as an Influence Account Director or similar role, with:

• Strong understanding of influence strategy and experience managing large multi-market campaigns
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to create highly effective working relationships with clients and colleagues
• Ability to confidently lead influence conversations and problem-solve in the moment, acting as a point of escalation for junior clients
• Solid understanding of the strategic and business context clients operate in, using this knowledge to develop effective solutions
• Excellent collaboration skills, working confidently with other capabilities and crafts to find the best integrated influence creative solution to business problems
• Ability to demonstrate creative problem-solving in every task—whether improving internal processes or co-creating inspiring ways to sell in the work
• Ability to build trusted relationships with mid-level clients based on a proven track record of delivery
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide senior counsel on industry developments
