HSE Manager

Walshgroup is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to join our team at one of our two locations. In this full-time position, you will lead health, safety, and environmental initiatives across our operations, ensuring compliance and fostering a strong safety culture throughout the organization.

About the Role

As HSE Manager at Walshgroup, you'll be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health, safety, and environmental programs that protect our workforce and support business objectives. You'll work to identify and mitigate workplace hazards, ensure regulatory compliance, and champion a proactive safety mindset across the organization. This is a hands-on role where you'll combine strategic planning with day-to-day operational oversight to create measurable improvements in safety performance.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments, and hazard evaluations to identify potential safety concerns
• Develop and update health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and training programs tailored to our operations
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
• Ensure Walshgroup meets all applicable federal, state, and local environmental and occupational safety regulations
• Lead and deliver safety training to employees at all levels, promoting awareness and compliance culture
• Monitor and maintain safety records, metrics, and reporting systems for regulatory submissions and performance tracking
• Collaborate with department heads and external stakeholders on safety initiatives and compliance matters

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HSE Manager, Health and Safety Manager, or similar leadership role
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and environmental compliance standards
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement safety programs, policies, and procedures
• Excellent communication and training skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels
• Attention to detail and a methodical approach to risk assessment and incident investigation
• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Professional certification such as OHSAS, CSP, or equivalent is preferred
