Traveling Project Manager

Walshgroup is hiring a Traveling Project Manager to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This full-time role offers the opportunity to drive project success across multiple locations, taking the lead on site management, stakeholder coordination, and delivery of results that matter.

About the Role

We're looking for a self-directed Traveling Project Manager who thrives in a dynamic, field-based environment. You'll oversee project delivery from conception through completion, working across different sites to manage timelines, budgets, and teams. Your ability to handle change and solve problems on the ground will be key to your success.

Responsibilities

• Own project planning and execution across multiple work sites
• Develop and manage project budgets and schedules
• Direct project teams and coordinate with external partners
• Track project milestones and adjust strategies to stay on course
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders
• Maintain focus on quality, safety, and regulatory compliance
• Document project activities and maintain comprehensive records
• Travel to project locations as needed for hands-on oversight

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on experience managing field-based or multi-location projects
• Demonstrated success leading teams and managing complex deliverables
• Ability to manage budgets and keep projects on schedule
• Comfort with travel and remote work from project sites
• Strong communication skills with clients, teams, and executives
• Project management certification (PMP, CAPM, or similar) a plus
• Keen eye for detail and commitment to excellence
