General Manager – New Product

About This Opportunity

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential prize draw and charitable fundraising organization in their search for a General Manager – New Product based in London.

This is a true business-owner role where you'll take end-to-end ownership of a new consumer proposition from launch through to scale. You'll own the P&L, strategy, and performance, bringing together Product, Marketing, Commercial, Finance, Legal, Operations, Analytics, and other teams around a single set of outcomes.

You'll work through the commercial, operational, and customer complexities of launching something new, establish its economics and operating model, and build a roadmap for growth. As the proposition develops, you'll be accountable for continuous improvement: enhancing the customer experience, strengthening economics, resolving operational friction, and identifying growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy, P&L, and overall performance of the new proposition
• Develop deep understanding of economic drivers and identify high-leverage opportunities to improve growth and profitability
• Set clear goals and KPIs and establish the weekly, monthly, and quarterly operating rhythm
• Partner with finance to build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and operating plans
• Make clear recommendations about investment, prioritization, and trade-offs
• Own the end-to-end customer proposition and ensure compelling customer problem-solving
• Partner with Marketing to develop go-to-market and customer growth strategy
• Set direction and priorities for the product roadmap in partnership with Product, Design, and Engineering
• Act as single point of accountability for the proposition across the organization
• Bring together cross-functional teams and create clarity around priorities, decisions, ownership, and deadlines
• Build trust with senior leaders through clear, data-driven views of performance, risks, and opportunities

What We're Looking For

• Significant experience owning and growing a consumer business, product line, category, market, or marketplace
• Meaningful P&L ownership and strong financial and commercial fluency
• Experience launching or materially scaling a new product, proposition, category, or business model
• Strong understanding of product development and ability to make excellent product decisions
• Experience working through complex commercial arrangements, partnerships, or negotiations
• Strong operational instincts and experience turning complex or manual processes into scalable operating models
• Strong analytical skills and ability to understand the key inputs that drive a business
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, including through influence rather than direct reporting lines
• Track record of operating effectively in ambiguity and making decisions with imperfect information
• Extremely high standards for customer experience and execution
• Ability to move comfortably between long-term strategy and detailed operational problem-solving
