VP Finance and Investments

Our talent team is representing a confidential venture studio in their search for a VP Finance and Investments. This is a rare opportunity to join a pioneering European organization at an inflection point—transitioning from pure company creation to a scaled model that includes both early-stage ventures and majority-stake growth investments.

You'll serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, sitting at the intersection of corporate finance and deal execution. This role combines holding-level financial strategy with hands-on investment work, including board seats at portfolio companies. If you're looking to move beyond pure advisory or fund work into an operational finance leadership position with direct deal-making responsibility, this is it.

Responsibilities

Financing & Holding Strategy

• Define and execute the financing strategy at the holding level, including debt, equity, and hybrid instruments
• Manage shareholder relationships: cap table structuring, capital operations, and investor reporting
• Oversee banking relationships and partnerships across the group's financial ecosystem
• Direct treasury operations and capital allocation across multiple business tracks
• Build and maintain the group's reference financial models
• Lead a small team handling FP&A, LP management, and regulatory compliance

Deal-Making & Investments

• Drive investment analysis for majority acquisitions: due diligence, business planning, valuation, and financial modeling
• Structure complex deals including term sheets, governance mechanisms, and transaction frameworks
• Design management incentive schemes, carried interest structures, and leaver provisions
• Serve on the board of directors for select portfolio companies
• Act as analytical lead on investment committee decisions

What We're Looking For

• 6-8 years of experience in finance, with at least 3-4 years in investment banking (M&A, leveraged finance) or on the deal team of an investment fund
• Equally proficient in financial modeling, deal structuring, incentive design, and banking negotiations
• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to quickly master new and diverse subject areas
• Thrives in fast-paced, low-structure environments; comfortable with ambiguity
• Takes full ownership and thinks strategically rather than waiting for direction
• Deep familiarity with the tech and startup ecosystem; speaks the language fluently
• Bilingual in French and English
• Based in Paris
