Fullstack Senior Software Developer

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Fullstack Senior Software Developer for a fully remote role based in Colombia. Our client is a global leader in accounting and audit software with a significant international presence and decades of innovation in financial technology.

This is a senior technical leadership position where you'll shape architecture, mentor engineers, and drive platform evolution in an AI-first development environment. You'll work with cutting-edge cloud-native technologies while delivering business value through distributed microservices and modern front-end architecture.

Responsibilities

• Create architecture, prototypes, and design proposals that deliver business value while aligning with long-term product vision
• Influence technical direction through architecture reviews, RFCs, design discussions, and hands-on collaboration
• Partner with senior developers and architects to define and execute platform architecture roadmaps
• Balance delivery speed, quality, maintainability, and long-term platform health in technical decisions
• Break down large initiatives into parallelizable work that delivers incremental business value
• Champion proposals through all SDLC phases, from design through production implementation
• Improve core product build, CI/CD pipelines, and overall development lifecycle
• Troubleshoot and eliminate root causes of production issues; drive reliability, observability, and monitoring
• Maintain technical documentation and create new artifacts as needed
• Facilitate design discussions within and across teams
• Represent the team in technical discussions with stakeholders across Product, UX, Security, and Operations
• Mentor developers through design reviews, joint AI-assisted sessions, and feedback on development practices
• Share knowledge of new technologies and industry best practices
• Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and cloud capabilities for platform enhancement

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years of professional software development experience with demonstrated impact beyond a single team
• Proven experience designing and operating distributed, cloud-native, SaaS/multi-tenant platforms at scale, ideally on AWS
• Strong software fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, SOLID principles, and code quality advocacy
• Experience with agentic-AI software development practices
• Experience designing and consuming well-designed HTTP APIs (REST, GraphQL, or similar)
• Track record mentoring developers and influencing architectural decisions across teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable in fast-moving environments with ambiguity
• Strong initiative to improve processes, tools, methodologies, and product quality
• Experience building highly distributed microservice architecture using Java 25 and SpringBoot
• Deep expertise in Angular (or equivalent SPA framework) and TypeScript
• Proven experience owning front-end architecture and design-system strategy at scale
• Strong track record with accessibility (WCAG) and front-end performance optimization

AI-Augmented Development Expectations:

• Use AI-assisted development tools as a standard part of daily workflow
• Critically evaluate and take ownership of all AI-generated output before shipping
• Identify opportunities for agentic automation and lead rollout of AI-assisted workflows
• Mentor developers on effective, responsible use of AI-assisted development tools
• Help establish team-level practices and guardrails for AI tools
• Build and refine feedback loops that improve collective AI tooling use

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Serverless Framework and trunk-based development
• Automated testing frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, or JMeter
• Knowledge of accounting and auditing concepts
• Experience within large enterprise monorepo codebases
• Container technologies such as Docker, ideally with Kubernetes orchestration
• Experience contributing to or maintaining a component library or design system
• Exposure to server-side rendering or rendering-performance techniques
• Experience with internationalization/localization in front-end applications
