Pixelogic Media Partners, LLC is seeking skilled Freelance Subtitling Linguists for Kazakh to join our remote team based in Kazakhstan. This is a full-time opportunity to create high-quality subtitles for video content, working directly with our production teams across the globe.

About the Role

We're looking for experienced subtitling professionals who are fluent in Kazakh and understand the nuances of adapting spoken dialogue into precise, engaging subtitled content. You'll work on diverse video projects—from documentaries and educational content to entertainment media—delivering subtitles that maintain both linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance for Kazakh-speaking audiences.

What You'll Do

• Translate and adapt dialogue from source language into accurate Kazakh subtitles
• Ensure timing synchronisation between audio and subtitle text for seamless viewing
• Format subtitles to meet technical specifications and platform requirements
• Research terminology and maintain consistency within project glossaries
• Review, edit, and refine subtitles for clarity, flow, and cultural appropriateness
• Meet strict project deadlines whilst maintaining quality standards
• Collaborate with production teams and other linguists to resolve content queries

Qualifications

• Native or fluent Kazakh language proficiency
• Proven experience in subtitling, captioning, or similar translation work
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with tight timelines
• Familiarity with subtitling software and video file formats
• Understanding of subtitle timing, formatting conventions, and platform requirements
• Excellent written Kazakh grammar and spelling
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with remote teams
