Founding GTM Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential B2B SaaS company based in Berlin that is building out its revenue operations function from the ground up. They're seeking their first GTM Engineer—someone who will establish RevOps as a discipline and architect their revenue engine as a product, not a support function. This is a rare sandbox role with direct founder access, real infrastructure to build on, and complete autonomy over what gets built first.

Pipeline health, conversion rates, and revenue per headcount will be your north star metrics. You'll inherit existing tools—a CRM system, deal-scoring applications, call intelligence platforms, and company-wide AI access—but the foundational layers underneath need to be built: clean data architecture, automated workflows, rigorous forecasting, and AI-driven processes.

Responsibilities

• Establish trustworthy data foundations: implement CRM hygiene protocols, field governance standards, deduplication processes, and automated enrichment on record creation
• Automate the revenue process end-to-end: build lead routing logic, define SLA frameworks, establish stage transition criteria, and create seamless handoffs across teams
• Architect the pipeline generation stack: develop signal-based outbound systems including ICP scoring models, enrichment workflows, and orchestration so the team focuses on conversations rather than list-building
• Integrate AI into daily workflows: automate call intelligence extraction, build research agents, develop health and churn scoring models
• Build weekly forecasting and reporting infrastructure that leadership can reliably use for decision-making
• Drive adoption of everything you build: instrument usage tracking, train cross-functional teams, and iterate based on real feedback

What We're Looking For

Must-have qualifications:

• Hands-on experience architecting a major CRM platform from the ground up—you understand how objects, properties, and data structures should be designed, not just how to administer an existing system
• Practical production experience with outbound and enrichment tooling (Clay or similar platforms)
• Real production experience building with AI and LLMs—prompt engineering, agent development, or AI-powered workflow automation
• Strong data discipline: you can analyze a funnel, identify where data quality breaks down, and quantify the business impact of a fix before implementing it
• Systems thinking: you approach problems through sequencing and architecture, not ticket-by-ticket, and can defend your technical decisions under scrutiny

Nice-to-have qualifications:

• Experience as an early GTM Operations or RevOps hire at another startup
• Familiarity with call intelligence platforms and sales intelligence outbound tooling
• Comfort with unit economics analysis (CAC, ACV, payback period calculations)
• Experience supporting mid-market, multi-stakeholder B2B sales cycles
