Forward Deployed Engineer (AI & Business Transformation) – Technology & Creative Network | Mexico

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology consultancy in their search for a Forward Deployed Engineer focused on AI-driven business transformation. This is a fully remote role based in Mexico, where you'll embed directly with enterprise client teams to diagnose operational challenges, redesign workflows, and build functional AI prototypes that demonstrate measurable value.

This position sits at the intersection of management consulting and hands-on engineering. You'll conduct organizational diagnostics, establish new operating models, and rapidly ship working proofs of concept—all while working autonomously to accelerate technology adoption and deliver ROI for Fortune 500 clients.

Responsibilities

• Map end-to-end workflows to diagnose operational friction, handoff failures, governance gaps, and tooling mismatches
• Redesign target-state operations for leaner workflows, clearer decision rights, and effective human-agent collaboration using AI
• Design comprehensive operating models including organizational structure, roles, governance, cross-functional interaction, and value realization frameworks
• Establish performance baselines and build measurement frameworks to track continuous improvement throughout engagements
• Identify value gaps in stalled implementations where technology deployment has outpaced business adoption
• Build working AI-powered prototypes using LLM APIs, platform-native features, and low-code/no-code environments
• Use functional demos and prototypes as the primary tool for stakeholder alignment within actual client processes
• Evaluate where AI practically enhances workflows versus where it distracts, providing grounded, realistic advice
• Support rollout of new tools and workflows with process design and change management
• Design enablement materials that connect technology implementations to intended operating models
• Support complex engagement scoping and conduct diagnostic assessments for value capture and adoption strategy
• Contribute reusable frameworks and tools to improve practice qualification and scoping

What We're Looking For

• 5–10 years of experience in management consulting or equivalent roles within enterprise technology, SaaS, or professional services
• Demonstrated expertise in at least two areas: organizational design, operating model transformation, change management, technology enablement, process engineering, or go-to-market execution
• Proven track record building structured, evidence-based arguments to influence senior stakeholders
• Hands-on experience building functional AI-powered workflows, automations, and prototypes—ability to ship working solutions, not just design them
• Ability to rapidly scope and build working proofs of concept within engagement constraints to move skeptical stakeholders
• Comfort working autonomously without a dedicated engineering team, knowing when to build independently and when to pull in resources
• Strong diagnostic mindset dedicated to understanding root causes before jumping to solutions
• Deep accountability to measurable outcomes and impact rather than static deliverables
• Bias toward early proof—preferring to build working prototypes over producing standard roadmaps
• Ability to operate in a forward-deployed capacity, integrating with client engineers, product leads, and operators
• Experience in large-scale organizational assessments, process redesigns, or technology rollouts highly preferred
